Hello, dear friends and fans!
Happy New Year! The beginning of 2010 has seen a good many changes for the Belles, with cast changes, upcoming performances, new songs, a new stage show, and (hold on to your hats!) a shiny new studio CD on the horizon!
First and foremost, please welcome our new sisters Miriam and Melina. Miriam is one Vickie Bottelson, a veteran songstress who just can’t seem to get enough singing! You may well have seen her at the Southern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire last year, singing with her other group (and our dear friends), Wren of Iniquity. Playing Melina will be a very talented young lady by the name of Matrice Iantorno. Matrice is classically trained, and very excited to embark upon this new adventure with the Belles! Also joining our cast are a couple of new Belle Boys. The one is a tremendous actor / singer by the name of Tucker Mathews. Tucker is not only an exceptional singer and actor, he’s unspeakably charming! Our second new Belle Boy is one Michael Eastman. Michael is something of an improv genius, and a great talent as a writer. We’re lucky indeed to be joined by these wonderfully gifted artists. We hope you’ll come out to meet them at an upcoming show…
Speaking of which, we have two performances rapidly approaching! First will be our annual showing at the Riverside Dickens Festival (http://www.dickensfest.com/), February 6th & 7th . You’ll be able to catch the Belles at any of our four show-times each day: in the street at 10:30, or in the “Ale Pub” at 1:30, 3:00 and 4:00.
On February 20th you won’t want to miss Hoo-Ha-Melee! What’s this? A DINNER SHOW?!! Join the Belles of Bedlam and their friends, Wren of Inequity and Sportive Tricks, for a frolicking show and dinner. Enjoy an evening of traditional and fusion Celtic music (and a few modern tunes thrown in for fun), plus mouthwatering chicken and ribs served by bawdy wenches!
$29.95 includes a two hour show with three fabulous bands, plus a delicious dinner:
- Baby back ribs
- Barbecued chicken
- Homemade soup
- Honey-baked cornbread
- Creamy coleslaw
- Barbecued baked beans
- Soft drinks
Appetizers, desserts, and full bar service are also available. Doors open at 7:30pm. Show starts at 8pm and goes to 10:00pm.

In other news, we’re busily putting the finishing touches on a new stage show! We’re very pleased with the fruits of our labors, and we hope you will be too. Judge for yourself at an upcoming performance… Details to come; watch for them!
I’ve saved the most exciting news for last… It’s finally truly happening. The Belles are going into the studio to record our long-awaited new CD! We have our song list, and even a title… But I shan’t give away too much just yet. We promise to keep you posted on the progress, as well as when to expect our CD release party!
